How do you change dash lights on 2000 Toyota solara?

To change the dash lights on a 2000 Toyota Solara, follow these steps:

Tools and Materials Needed

-Replacement dash light bulbs

-Phillips head screwdriver

-Flat head screwdriver

-Pliers

Instructions:

1.Park the Solara in a safe location and turn off the engine. Allow it to cool down if necessary.

2.Open the Solara's hood and locate the fuse box cover under the hood. Remove the fuse box cover by pressing the release tab and lifting it off.

3.Locate the fuse labeled "dash lights" or "illumination". Remove this fuse using the pliers to pull it straight out of its slot. This will disable power to the dash lights and ensure your safety while working on them.

4.Close the hood of the Solara.

5.Locate the instrument cluster bezel on the dashboard. This is the plastic housing around the speedometer, tachometer, and other gauges.

6.Use the flathead screwdriver to pry up the edges of the instrument cluster bezel and carefully remove it from the dashboard. Set the bezel aside.

7.Locate the burned-out dash light bulbs. They are small, cylindrical bulbs that are located behind the instrument cluster. Use the Phillips head screwdriver to loosen and remove the screws holding the bulbs in place.

8.Remove the old bulbs from their sockets. Be careful not to drop them into the dashboard.

9.Install the new dash light bulbs into the sockets. Make sure that the bulbs are seated securely.

10.Reinstall the screws to hold the bulbs in place.

11.Reattach the instrument cluster bezel to the dashboard. Press firmly until it snaps back into place.

12.Replace the fuse labeled "dash lights" or "illumination" in the fuse box.

13.Start the Solara and check that the dash lights are working properly.

Note: If the new dash lights do not work, check to make sure that they are the correct bulbs for your vehicle and that they are installed properly. If the issue persists, you may need to have the electrical system of your Solara inspected by a qualified mechanic.
