Your ac only blows air not cold or hot what is the problem?

There are several possible reasons why your AC is only blowing air and not cold or hot:

1. Thermostat setting: Make sure the thermostat is set to the desired temperature and the fan is set to "auto" or "on." If the thermostat is set correctly, move on to the next step.

2. Power supply: Check that the AC is properly plugged in and that there is power to the outlet. Make sure the circuit breaker or fuse for the AC is not tripped or blown. If the power supply is normal, move on to the next step.

3. Filter: A clogged or dirty air filter can restrict airflow and reduce the efficiency of the AC. Check the filter and clean or replace it if necessary.

4. Refrigerant: If the AC is low on refrigerant, it will not be able to produce cold air. Refrigerant levels should be checked by a professional HVAC technician.

5. Compressor: The compressor is the component of the AC that compresses the refrigerant. If the compressor is not working properly, the AC will not be able to cool the air. Compressor issues should be diagnosed and repaired by a qualified technician.

6. Evaporator coil: The evaporator coil is responsible for absorbing heat from the air in your home. If it is frozen, it will block the airflow and prevent the AC from cooling your home. Frozen evaporator coils usually indicate a refrigerant leak or other system problem.

7. Condenser coil: The condenser coil is responsible for dissipating heat from the refrigerant. If it is dirty, it will not be able to release the heat effectively and the AC will not cool properly. Clean the condenser coil by gently brushing it with a soft cloth or brush and rinsing it with water. Be careful not to damage the fins on the coil.

If none of these steps resolves the issue, it's best to consult with a qualified HVAC technician to properly diagnose and repair the problem.
