2. Pull the hood release lever. This will release the hood latch, but the hood will not open all the way.
3. Go to the front of the car and locate the secondary hood latch. It is located in the center of the grille.
4. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry open the secondary hood latch. This will allow the hood to open all the way.
5. Prop the hood open with a stick or other object. This will prevent the hood from closing while you are working on the car.
Note: If the hood release lever is broken, you can also use a flat-head screwdriver to pry open the secondary hood latch.
