1. Park your vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Open the hood of your vehicle by releasing the hood release lever located in the driver's footwell.
3. Locate the battery in the engine bay. It is usually located on the passenger side near the firewall.
4. Disconnect the negative (black) terminal cable from the battery by using a wrench to loosen the bolt that secures the cable to the terminal.
5. Disconnect the positive (red) terminal cable from the battery by using a wrench to loosen the bolt that secures the cable to the terminal.
6. Remove the old battery from the vehicle by lifting it straight up out of the battery tray.
7. Place the new battery in the battery tray and connect the positive (red) terminal cable to the battery by tightening the bolt that secures the cable to the terminal.
8. Connect the negative (black) terminal cable to the battery by tightening the bolt that secures the cable to the terminal.
9. Close the hood of your vehicle.
