New FIAT 500 body styles
New FIAT 500 3+1
The all-electric new FIAT 500 is also available in three body styles. There is a hatchback, a cabrio and a 3+1 body.
As the name suggests the 3+1 version has one extra door on the passenger side. These doors on the passenger side remind us the doors of the BMW i3, since they open and close in the same way. You have to open the front door first to then be able to open the back door, not very convenient…
I have no idea if the new FIAT 500 will be a successful electric car. It definitely has the cute factor, but I don’t know if it will be enough. With more doors, the cheaper, but also cute Renault Twingo ZE seems much more practical.
FIAT says that the annual production capacity will be 80.000 units, but it can be increased.
