The firing order is 1-3-4-2, and the distributor cap terminals are numbered as follows:
1. Cylinder 1
2. Cylinder 3
3. Cylinder 4
4. Cylinder 2
The ignition wires should be connected to the distributor cap terminals in the order shown in the diagram.
In addition to the ignition wires, there is also a tachometer wire that connects to the distributor cap terminal marked "T". This wire sends a signal to the tachometer in the instrument cluster, which indicates the engine's RPM.
If you are not sure which wire goes where, you can use a multimeter to check the continuity between the ignition wires and the spark plugs. To do this, simply set the multimeter to the "continuity" setting and touch one probe to the ignition wire and the other probe to the spark plug. If the multimeter beeps, then the wire is connected properly.
