1. Park the vehicle in a safe location and turn off the engine.
2. Open the hood of the vehicle.
3. Locate the battery, which is typically in the front left corner of the engine bay.
4. Disconnect the negative battery terminal (black cable) using a wrench or socket set.
5. Remove the hold-down clamp that secures the battery in place.
6. Lift the battery out of the vehicle, taking care not to spill any battery acid.
