1. Locate the hood release lever. This lever is usually located on the driver's side footwell, near the brake pedal.
2. Pull the hood release lever. This will release the hood latch.
3. Gently lift the hood. The hood will be heavy, so be careful not to drop it.
4. Use the prop rod to hold the hood open. The prop rod is located on the inside of the hood, near the hinges.
