Fleetdrive Management Ltd was established in 1994, the same year the Lion King, Pulp Fiction and Forrest Gump were showing in a cinema near you. Also before some of our current team members were born!

Since then a lot has happened …our business has steadily grown as a result of repeat business and client recommendations, we fell in love with electric cars after funding the UK’s first Tesla roadster in 2008, and in 2017 we changed our name to ‘DriveElectric’. It’s been quite a journey!
We are delighted to reach this milestone and would like to take this opportunity to say a big “thank you!” to all our customers for your support in helping us get here. Without you we don’t have a business – and there would be a lot less zero emission free miles on UK roads.

2015: We celebrated our 21st year in the leasing business …and the team has grown a LOT since then as you can see in the team photos above

In 2016: with partners we began customer recruitment for the Electric Nation Project where we supplied smart charging technology for 700 electric vehicle users, a world first.

It was crystal clear by this point that electric vehicles were the future but we were operating as Fleetdrive, Fleetdrive Electric AND DriveElectric so we took the plunge and decided we would transform our brand, moving forward as DriveElectric
We were working hard behind the scenes rebranding DriveElectric to the look and feel you see today across our site and social channels. We launched our new brand on 1st January 2019.

We’re celebrating 25 years in business (and 11 years working with electric vehicles).
Other milestones this year: we delivered our 700th Nissan LEAF and celebrated landmark partnerships with Lex Autolease and EDF Energy
So much has changed since 1994, back in the day our Directors Mike and Adam saw a fair few Ford Probes onto the roads. Its incredible (and encouraging) to see how far we have come in 25 years when you compare the Probe to Tesla’s Model 3 that arrived in the UK this summer.

The evolution of our business can also be articulated in the format of our office mugs, 1990s Fleetdrive on the right and new brand DriveElectric on the left.
It’s good to be reminded of how far you’ve come sometimes when you’re making a humble cup of tea!
