According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, a 33cc gas-powered scooter is considered a motor vehicle and is therefore subject to the same laws as other motor vehicles. This includes the requirement to have a valid driver's license and to register the scooter with the DMV. Additionally, the scooter must be equipped with the following safety features:
- A headlight
- A taillight
- Brakes
- A horn
- A rear-view mirror
It is also important to note that the scooter must be operated in a safe and responsible manner. This includes obeying the speed limit, yielding to pedestrians, and using hand signals when turning.
