1. Park the motorcycle on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Locate the battery under the seat. It is held in place by a plastic cover and a metal bracket.
3. Disconnect the negative battery terminal using the included 8 mm wrench. Twist counter-clockwise with the included 8 mm wrench to loosen the nut and remove the terminal’s bolt. Remove the terminal from the battery.
4. Disconnect the positive battery terminal (red wire).
5. Remove the battery hold-down bracket.
6. Lift the battery out of the compartment.
7. Insert the new battery into the battery compartment, ensuring that the positive and negative terminals are oriented correctly.
8. Replace the battery hold-down bracket and tighten the bolts until snug.
9. Reconnect the negative battery terminal to its connector.
10. Reconnect the positive battery terminal.
11. Replace the seat and close the fuel tank.
