Here are a few things you can check:
- Battery: Check the battery connections to ensure they are clean and tight. If the battery is old, it may need to be replaced.
- Charging system: Check the voltage regulator, stator, and rectifier. These components are responsible for charging the battery. If any of these components are faulty, the battery will not be able to hold a charge.
- Parasitic drain: Check for any parasitic drains on the battery. This can be done by disconnecting the negative battery terminal and then using a multimeter to measure the current draw. If the current draw is more than a few milliamps, there may be a parasitic drain.
- Starter: Check the starter to ensure it is not drawing too much current. This can be done by measuring the voltage at the battery while the starter is engaged. If the voltage drops below 10 volts, the starter may be drawing too much current.
If you have checked all of these things and the battery still dies, you may need to take your motorcycle to a mechanic to have it diagnosed and repaired.
