How do you lift the seat to access battery in a 1998 Kawasaki Vulcan classic 1500?

1. Locate the seat release lever. It is located on the left side of the bike, just below the seat.

2. Pull the seat release lever. This will release the seat from its locking mechanism.

3. Lift the seat up and off the bike. Be careful not to drop it.

4. Locate the battery. It is located under the seat, on the right side of the bike.

5. Disconnect the battery cables. Start by disconnecting the negative cable (black). Then, disconnect the positive cable (red).
