1. Disconnect the black ground wire from the Magneto coil by removing the 10mm bolt.
2. Connect a multimeter to the Magneto coil's black ground wire and the Magneto coil's red wire.
3. Start the engine and let it idle.
4. Read the multimeter's voltage reading. It should be between 9 and 15 volts AC.
5. Increase the engine's speed to 3,000 RPM. The Magneto should produce 20 to 25 volts AC at this speed.
If the Magneto is not producing the correct voltage, it may be faulty and need to be replaced.
