1. Open the trunk and locate the battery. The battery is in a compartment on the left side of the trunk, next to the spare tire.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. This is the black terminal with a minus (-) sign. Use a 10mm wrench to loosen the nut on the terminal and then remove the cable.
3. Disconnect the positive battery terminal. This is the red terminal with a plus (+) sign. Use a 10mm wrench to loosen the nut on the terminal and then remove the cable.
4. Remove the battery hold-down bracket. This is a plastic bracket that holds the battery in place. It is located on the left side of the battery and is held in place by two 10mm bolts.
5. Lift the battery out of the compartment. Be careful not to drop the battery, as it is heavy.
6. Install the new battery. Place the new battery in the compartment and connect the positive and negative terminals. Make sure that the positive terminal is connected to the positive terminal on the battery and that the negative terminal is connected to the negative terminal on the battery.
7. Tighten the battery hold-down bracket. Tighten the two 10mm bolts that hold the bracket in place.
8. Close the trunk.
