1. Open the hood: Use the hood release lever inside the driver's footwell to open the hood.
2. Locate the battery: The battery is located in the right-hand side of the engine compartment. It is covered by a black plastic cover.
3. Remove the battery cover: Press down on the tabs on the side of the battery cover and lift it off.
