"BMW batteries are covered by a warranty for a period of 24 months (2 years) from the date of installation or the date of first registration, whichever comes first. The warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship that result in a failure of the battery to properly function. If a battery fails during the warranty period, it will be replaced free of charge. The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, or accidents."
