Where is the coolant sensor on a 1999 Chevy Blazer 4x4?

1999 Chevy Blazer 4x4 - Coolant Temperature Sensor

*The coolant temperature sensor is located at the front of the engine, on the driver's side of the vehicle.*

1. Jack the vehicle up (unless you have enough ground clearance to fit underneath).

2. Locate the coolant temperature sensor on the driver's side of the engine, near the back.

3. Disconnect the electrical connector by gently pulling it apart. If the connector is seized, do not force it. Spray some penetrating oil onto the connector and reconnect and disconnect the connector several times to free it.

4. Unscrew the coolant temperature sensor and remove it.

5. Install the new coolant temperature sensor.

6. Reconnect the electrical connector.
