Replacing the battery in a 2006 Volkswagen Passat key fob is a relatively straightforward task that you can complete in just a few minutes. Follow these steps to replace the battery:

Required tools:

- Small flat-head screwdriver

- Replacement CR2032 battery

Procedure:

1. Press the small button on the back of the key fob to release the metal key.

2. Slide the key out of the key fob and set it aside.

3. Use the flat-head screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob, starting at the bottom edge.

4. Once the key fob is open, locate the small, round battery inside.
