The reversing light switch is located on the gearbox.
Below is the guide to access it:
* Park the car on level ground and apply the handbrake.
* Disconnect the battery’s negative terminal.
* Raise the car using a car jack or a ramp.
* Get under the car and locate the gearbox, It is located near the engine and consists of a metal housing.
* The reversing light switch is usually a small cylindrical-shaped component located on the side of the gearbox. It has two or three wires connected to it.
* Disconnect the wiring connector from the switch.
* Unscrew the switch from the gearbox using a suitable wrench.
* Install the new switch by screwing it into the gearbox and reconnecting the wiring connector.
* Lower the car and reconnect the battery’s negative terminal.
* Test the reversing lights to make sure they are functioning properly.
