1. Park your car on a flat surface and turn off the engine.
2. Locate the positive (+) and negative (-) battery terminals in your car.
3. The battery in the 2004 Mercedes C230 is located in the passenger side rear wheel housing. To remove the battery, unbolt the plastic battery box and remove the battery from the box.
