How do you open the hood on an old vw beetle?

Open the hood on an old VW Beetle with these steps:

- Pull the front trunk release handle from inside the car.

- Pull the secondary hood release handle located underneath the front lid.

- Lift up the hood slightly and insert the stand into the hole found on the rear side of the hood. Lift the hood until the stand locks in place.
