Where is the transmission dip stick 2003 BMW?

The BMWs do not have a transmission dipstick. The automatic transmission fluid can only be checked while the engine is running. Checking automatic transmission: Start the engine and allow it to warm up. With the engine idling in N (neutral), apply the parking brake and release the foot brake. While pushing down the brake pedal, move the selector lever to each position and back to N. The engine should run smoothly in all positions. Switch off the engine and check the transmission fluid level after a few minutes. The transmission fluid level should be between the two marks on the dipstick. If the fluid level is low, use a BMW-approved ATF fluid to top up the transmission. To access the transmission dipstick remove the engine beauty cover to access the transmission fluid dipstick. The dipstick is usually marked with a red handle.
