1. Open the hood of your vehicle.
2. Locate the engine cover. It is a black plastic cover located at the top of the engine.
3. Remove the engine cover. There are two plastic clips on the front of the cover. Push down on these clips and lift the cover up.
4. Locate the spark plugs. They are located in the center of the engine, just below the ignition coils.
5. Remove the ignition coils. There are four ignition coils, one for each spark plug. To remove an ignition coil, press down on the connector and pull it up.
6. Remove the spark plugs. Use a spark plug wrench to loosen the spark plugs and then remove them by hand.
7. Inspect the spark plugs. Look for signs of wear or damage, such as cracked or worn electrodes.
8. Replace the spark plugs. Hand-tighten the spark plugs until they are snug, and then use a spark plug wrench to tighten them to 20 Nm.
9. Replace the ignition coils. Press the connectors onto the ignition coils until they click into place.
10. Replace the engine cover. Snap the engine cover onto the engine by pushing it down until it clips into place.
