What does AV off mean on range rover?

The "AV off" indicator on a Range Rover means that the Automatic Vehicle Hold (AVH) feature is disabled. AVH is a safety feature that helps to prevent the vehicle from rolling backwards when it is stopped on a hill. When AVH is enabled, the vehicle will automatically apply the brakes when it is stopped on an incline of more than 5%.

To disable AVH, simply press the "AV off" button on the centre console. The indicator light will illuminate, and AVH will be disabled. AVH will automatically be re-enabled the next time you start the vehicle.

It is important to note that AVH is not a substitute for the parking brake. Always apply the parking brake when you park your vehicle, even if AVH is enabled.
