There are multiple transmission modules in a Ford Econoline.

For the 4R70W/E transmission, it's located passenger side, lower on the transmission housing just behind the battery tray or battery and battery tray (with the battery tray and battery removed)

For a BorgWarner 4R100, there are 2 transmission modules. One is located above the transmission filter assembly and the other underneath the transmission (below the battery tray)
