1. Start by positioning your vehicle in the proper lane. You should be close to the center line, but not so close that you are in danger of hitting oncoming traffic.
2. Reduce your speed slowly and engage your amber turn signal early to signal your intent to turn. This will give other drivers plenty of time to prepare for your turn and avoid collision.
3. Once you have reached a safe speed, begin to make your turn. Be sure to make a wide turn so that you do not cut off any other vehicles. If necessary, you may need to back up slightly in order to make the turn safely.
4. Once you have completed your turn, yield to any pedestrians or oncoming traffic, then continue driving straight ahead.
