What cars have a removable backseat?

Many cars, particularly those designed for hauling cargo, offer removable or foldable rear seats. However, "removable" can mean different things:

* Completely Removable: Some vehicles allow the rear seats to be entirely taken out of the car, leaving a completely flat cargo area. This is common in:

* Some SUVs and Crossovers: Many models, especially those marketed as more utilitarian, offer this option, but it's not always standard and depends on the trim level. Check the specifications for individual models. Examples *might* include some Jeep Wranglers, some older Honda CR-Vs, and certain models from Subaru, but this varies by year and model.

* Minivans: Some minivans, though less common now, used to offer fully removable seats. Check specific models and years.

* Commercial Vehicles: Vans used for work purposes often have removable seating.

* Fold-Down/Split-Folding: This is far more common. The rear seats fold down (either completely flat or into a configuration that creates more cargo space) but aren't completely removed from the vehicle. Nearly all SUVs, many hatchbacks, and some sedans offer this. It's not "removable" in the same sense as the above, but achieves a similar increase in cargo space.

To find out if a *specific* car has a removable backseat, you MUST check the manufacturer's specifications for that particular year and model. The features vary greatly. Looking at brochures, owner's manuals, or the manufacturer's website is the best approach.
