Pontiac G6 start I started it with the remote but after 10mins cout off when i got inside car to crank engine tries its like anti theft is stopping it?

Here are some possible causes and steps you can take:

1. Check the Key Fob Battery: Make sure the battery in your key fob is fresh and has enough power. A weak battery can interfere with remote starting and anti-theft functions. Try replacing the battery and see if the issue persists.

2. Re-program the Key Fob: In some cases, the key fob might lose its synchronization with the vehicle's immobilizer system. You may need to re-program the key fob to ensure proper communication and recognition by the anti-theft system. Refer to your vehicle's owner's manual for instructions on how to reprogram the key fob.

3. Inspect Key Ignition: Ensure that the key is properly inserted and turned in the ignition. Sometimes, if the key is not inserted or turned correctly, it can trigger anti-theft precautions. Try reinserting the key and turning it fully to see if the engine cranks.

4. Check for Error Codes: Use a diagnostic scan tool to check for any error codes related to the anti-theft system or immobilizer. Some vehicles display error codes on the instrument panel. If you find any error codes, it's best to have them diagnosed and addressed by a professional mechanic.

5. Check Connection: Under the dashboard, there might be a connection issue with the immobilizer module. Ensure the connections are secure and not loose. However, if you're unsure about this step, it's advisable to consult a professional mechanic.

6. Consult an Expert: If the problem persists after trying these steps, it's best to seek assistance from a qualified mechanic or automotive technician who specializes in anti-theft systems. They can conduct a thorough diagnosis and repair any underlying issues with your vehicle's security system.
