- A working keyless entry remote
- A pen or pencil

1. Preparation
- Make sure all the doors are closed.
- Have the working remote in hand and a fresh battery, if required, to install in the new remote.
2. Enter Programming Mode
- Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position, but don't start the engine.
- Within 10 seconds of turning the key to the "ON" position, press and hold the "UNLOCK" button on the working remote for 5 seconds.
3. Sync New Remote
- Wait for the door locks to cycle (lock and unlock). This indicates the vehicle has entered programming mode.
- Within 5 seconds of the locks cycling, press the "UNLOCK" button on the new remote for 2 seconds.
4. Check for Successful Programming
- The locks should cycle again to confirm that the new remote is programmed.
5. Test the New Remote
- Try locking and unlocking the doors using the new remote. If it works properly, the programming process is complete.
