Check the battery in your key fob:
- Make sure that the battery in the key fob is fresh and properly inserted. A weak or dead battery can cause the immobilizer to malfunction.
- Try using a spare key fob, if available, to see if it works.
- Clean the battery contact points in both the key fob and keyswitch.
Check the key fob for damage:
- Inspect the key fob for any physical damage, such as cracks or dents.
- Make sure that the buttons on the key fob are functioning properly.
Check the ignition switch:
- Insert the key into ignition switch and turn to "On" position
- Try to start the engine.
- If the engine does not start and the immobilizer light is flashing, the ignition switch may be faulty.
- Make sure the wire harness is connected to the ignition switch.
Check the immobilizer module:
- The immobilizer module is usually located in the engine bay or under the dashboard.
- Check for loose or damaged wiring around immobilizer module.
- If the immobilizer module is damaged, it will need to be replaced.
- Please note Chrysler requires specialized computer software to change immobiliser and will need to be programmed to work with your vehicle’s computer system.
Consult a professional:
If you have tried all of the above steps and the immobilizer is still not working, it may be necessary to consult with a professional automotive locksmith or a mechanic who is familiar with Chrysler Voyager immobilizer systems.
