- New cabin air filter
- Phillips-head screwdriver
- Flathead screwdriver or butter knife
- Shop vacuum
Instructions:
1. Open the glove box and remove its contents.
2. Press the buttons on either side of the glove box to release it from the dashboard.
3. Pull down the glove box to the ground.
4. Look on the passenger side of the glove box and locate the cabin air filter housing cover, which is a black plastic panel.
5. There will be a white plastic tab located in the middle of the cabin air filter housing cover, push the white plastic tab to release it.
6. Remove the housing cover by pulling it towards you.
7. Locate the cabin air filter inside the housing. It is a rectangular-shaped object made of pleated paper.
8. Remove the old cabin air filter by gently pulling it out of the housing.
9. Clean the housing of the filter by wiping it with a vacuum.
10. Insert the new cabin air filter into the housing, ensuring that the arrows on the filter are pointing towards the front of the vehicle.
11. Reinstall the housing cover by sliding it back into the housing until it clicks into place.
12. Replace the glove box and its contents.
