1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Allow the engine to cool down if it has been running.
3. Crawl under the vehicle and locate the transmission pan. The transmission pan is usually located at the bottom of the transmission and is held in place by bolts.
4. Look for a drain plug on the transmission pan. The drain plug is usually located near the bottom of the pan and is usually a 17mm bolt.
5. Place a drain pan under the drain plug to catch the transmission fluid.
6. Loosen the drain plug with a 17mm wrench.
7. Allow the transmission fluid to drain completely into the drain pan.
8. Once the transmission fluid has drained completely, replace the drain plug.
9. Tighten the drain plug with a 17mm wrench.
