Why air conditioner clutch engage?

An air conditioner clutch engages when the air conditioning system is turned on. The clutch connects the compressor to the engine, allowing the compressor to rotate and compress the refrigerant gas. This compression process generates heat, which is then transferred to the condenser coils. The condenser coils dissipate the heat into the surrounding air, and the cooled refrigerant gas is then expanded and released into the evaporator coils. The evaporator coils absorb heat from the air inside the car, and the cooled air is then blown into the passenger compartment.
