1. Locate the water temperature sensor. It is usually located on the intake manifold, near the thermostat housing.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.
3. Use a wrench to loosen and remove the sensor from the intake manifold.
4. Clean the sensor and the threads in the intake manifold.
5. Apply a thread sealant to the threads of the new sensor.
6. Screw the new sensor into the intake manifold.
7. Tighten the sensor until it is snug.
8. Reconnect the electrical connector to the sensor.
