The cabin air filter is located in the passenger-side footwell area, behind the center console.
Removal:
1. Open the glove compartment and remove its contents.
2. You'll see two plastic hinge covers on the sides of the glove box opening. Using a trim tool, gently pry them off. (The hinge covers fit onto pins that are part of the glove compartment door.)
3. Gently fold down the glove box door and turn the two white locking tabs to the unlocked position.
4. Carefully remove the glove compartment.
5. Open the door again, reach toward the right (passenger side) and press the release tab on the filter cover in the floor just below the filter housing cover.
6. Pull the filter cover down about 2-inches.
7. With the filter cover hanging, reach inside and remove the old cabin air filter by pulling it straight out of the filter housing.
8. Take a few moments and remove any debris that may have entered the filter housing cavity.
Installation:
1. Insert the new cabin air filter into the housing (arrow facing into the cavity) and replace the filter cover.
2. Ensure that the filter cover snaps properly into place.
3. Rotate the two locking tabs on the glove compartment door to the locked position.
4. Close the glove compartment door and replace its contents.
