2. Locate the air cleaner housing. It is a black plastic box located on the passenger side of the engine compartment.
3. Unlatch the air cleaner housing cover and remove it.
4. Locate the air filter inside the air cleaner housing. It is a rectangular piece of paper or foam.
5. Remove the old air filter from the air cleaner housing.
6. Insert the new air filter into the air cleaner housing.
7. Make sure that the new air filter is properly seated in the housing.
8. Replace the air cleaner housing cover and latch it closed.
9. Close the hood of your 2001 Dodge Neon.
