What is wrong if when you turn the key engine clicks but does not over yet it has a fresh battery?

1. Starter motor issues.

- Bad solenoid: The starter solenoid is responsible for engaging the starter motor with the flywheel. If the solenoid is faulty, it will not be able to engage the starter motor, and the engine will not crank.

- Worn starter motor brushes: The starter motor brushes are responsible for conducting electricity from the battery to the starter motor. If the brushes are worn, they will not be able to make a good connection, and the starter motor will not receive the power it needs to crank the engine.

- Dirty/corroded battery terminals: If the battery terminals are dirty or corroded, it can prevent a good electrical connection between the battery and the starter motor. This can cause the starter motor to get insufficient power, preventing it from cranking the engine.

2. Ignition system issues.

- Bad spark plugs: If the spark plugs are worn out or fouled, they will not be able to produce a spark to ignite the air/fuel mixture in the engine. This will cause the engine not to start.

- Faulty ignition coil: The ignition coil is responsible for producing the high voltage spark that is needed to ignite the air/fuel mixture. If the ignition coil is faulty, it will not be able to produce a spark, and the engine will not start.

- Broken distributor cap or rotor: The distributor cap and rotor are responsible for distributing the spark from the ignition coil to the spark plugs. If the distributor cap or rotor is broken or worn, it can prevent the spark from reaching the spark plugs, and the engine will not start.

3. Fuel system issues.

- Clogged fuel filter: If the fuel filter is clogged, it can restrict the flow of fuel to the engine. This can cause the engine to start and then die, or it may not start at all.

- Faulty fuel pump: If the fuel pump is faulty, it will not be able to deliver fuel to the engine. This will cause the engine to not start.

- Faulty fuel pressure regulator: If the fuel pressure regulator is faulty, it can cause the fuel pressure to be too high or too low. This can cause the engine to start and then die, or it may not start at all.
