Where do I install block heater on 2007 2500 sprinter crd?

To install a block heater on a 2007 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 CRD, you will need the following tools and materials:

* 1/2-inch drive ratchet

* 10mm socket

* 13mm socket

* 15mm socket

* 24mm box-end wrench

* Allen key set

* Flat-head screwdriver

* Phillips-head screwdriver

* Pliers

* Wire cutters

* Block heater

* Coolant

* Distilled water

Instructions:

1. Park the Sprinter on a level surface and allow the engine to cool down.

2. Open the hood and remove the engine cover.

3. Locate the coolant drain plug on the bottom of the radiator. Place a drain pan under the plug and use a 13mm socket to loosen and remove the plug.

4. Allow the coolant to drain into the drain pan.

5. Once the coolant has drained, reinstall the drain plug.

6. Find a suitable location on the engine block to install the block heater. The location should be flat and smooth, and there should be enough clearance for the block heater to fit without interference from any other components.

7. Clean the chosen surface with a flat-head screwdriver and a wire brush to remove any dirt or debris.

8. Apply a sealant to the gasket of the block heater.

9. Position the block heater on the engine block and secure it in place with the provided bolts.

10. Use a 24mm box-end wrench to tighten the bolts.

11. Locate the coolant hoses on the engine block near the block heater. Use a 10mm socket to loosen the hose clamps and remove the hoses.

12. Connect the hoses to the block heater inlet and outlet ports. Use pliers to tighten the hose clamps.

13. Fill the cooling system with a 50/50 mixture of coolant and distilled water. Use a funnel to add the coolant and water to the radiator.

14. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes to circulate the coolant.

15. Check for any leaks around the block heater and the coolant hoses. If any leaks are found, tighten the hose clamps or the block heater bolts.

16. Replace the engine cover and hood.

The block heater is now installed and ready to use. You can plug the block heater into a power outlet to warm the engine before starting it on cold mornings.
