Specific instructions on how to access and replace the battery:
1. Open the hood.
2. Locate the battery. It will be a black plastic box with two terminals, marked positive (+) and negative (-).
3. Disconnect the negative terminal. Use a wrench to loosen the nut that holds the negative terminal cable to the battery. Be careful not to touch the positive terminal with the wrench, as this could cause a short circuit.
4. Disconnect the positive terminal. Use a wrench to loosen the nut that holds the positive terminal cable to the battery.
5. Remove the battery hold-down clamp. This is a metal bracket that holds the battery in place. It is usually held in place with a few bolts.
6. Lift the battery out of the vehicle. Be careful not to drop it.
7. Install the new battery. Place the new battery in the same position as the old one and replace the battery hold-down clamp. Connect the positive terminal cable first, then the negative terminal cable.
