The water pump is located on the passenger's side of the engine block. It is bolted to the engine block and is driven by a belt that runs from the crankshaft to the water pump pulley.
To access the water pump, you will need to:
1. Remove the engine's air intake duct and resonator/air filter box assembly.
2. Remove the engine's engine cover.
3. Remove the serpentine belt.
4. Remove the six 10 mm bolts holding the water pump to the engine block.
5. Remove the old water pump.
To install the new water pump, you will need to:
1. Clean the water pump mating surfaces on the engine block.
2. Apply a sealant around the new water pump's gasket mating surface.
3. Install the new water pump and six bolts. Tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
4. Install the serpentine belt.
5. Reinstall the engine cover, air intake duct, and resonator/air filter assembly.
