How do you change a brake light switch on 1998 Chevy Tahoe?

Tools and Materials Needed:

1. Park your Tahoe in a safe location and turn off the engine. Engage the parking brake to prevent the vehicle from rolling.

6. Pull the old brake light switch out of its housing.

7. Insert the new brake light switch into the housing.

8. Tighten the two bolts that hold the brake light switch in place.

9. Replace the plastic cover that holds the brake light switch in place.

10. Reconnect the negative battery cable.

11. Test the brake lights to make sure that they are working properly.
