1. Park your car in a safe location and turn off the engine.
2. Open the hood of your car.
3. Locate the headlight assembly. It is located behind the headlight lens on the front of your car.
4. Remove the headlight assembly. There are two screws that hold the headlight assembly in place. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector. There is an electrical connector that connects the headlight assembly to the car's electrical system. Disconnect the connector by pressing the release tab and pulling it apart.
6. Remove the old headlight bulb. Turn the bulb counterclockwise to remove it from the headlight assembly.
7. Install the new headlight bulb. Insert the new bulb into the headlight assembly and turn it clockwise to secure it.
8. Reconnect the electrical connector. Press the release tab on the connector and insert it into the headlight assembly.
9. Replace the headlight assembly. Position the headlight assembly in place and secure it with the two screws.
10. Close the hood of your car.
Here are some additional tips for changing the headlight bulb on a 2004 Chevy Aveo:
* Be careful not to touch the glass part of the new headlight bulb. The oil from your skin can cause the bulb to burn out prematurely.
* If you have any difficulty removing the screws that hold the headlight assembly in place, you may need to use a screwdriver with a longer shaft.
* If you have any difficulty disconnecting the electrical connector, you may need to use a pair of pliers.
