1. Park the truck on level ground and turn off the engine.
2. Locate the transmission fluid dipstick. It can usually be found on the side of the transmission.
3. Pull out the dipstick and wipe it clean.
4. Reinsert the dipstick into the transmission until it is fully seated.
5. Pull out the dipstick again and check the fluid level. It should be at or near the top mark on the dipstick.
6. If the fluid level is low, add enough fluid to bring it up to the correct level.
7. Push the dipstick back in until it is fully seated.
It's important to check the manual transmission fluid regularly to ensure that the transmission is properly lubricated. If the fluid is low, it can damage the transmission. If the fluid is dirty or has a burnt smell, it should be changed.
