Where is the transmission dipstick located on a 1999 Chevy Malibu?

The 1999 Chevy Malibu does not have a transmission dipstick. The transmission fluid level is checked through a fill plug located on the side of the transmission. To check the fluid level, you will need to remove the fill plug and look at the fluid level. The fluid should be between the “Full” and “Add” marks on the dipstick. If the fluid is low, you can add transmission fluid through the fill plug.
