1. Park your vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Allow the engine to cool down for at least 15 minutes.
3. Open the hood of your vehicle.
4. Locate the oil pan, which is located at the bottom of the engine.
5. The oil drain plug is located on the bottom of the oil pan, and is usually marked with a "D" or "Oil Drain."
6. Use a wrench to loosen the oil drain plug and allow the oil to drain into an oil drain pan.
7. Once the oil has drained, replace the oil drain plug and tighten it securely.
8. Close the hood of your vehicle.
