How to remove the driver side fender?

To remove the driver side fender, follow these steps:

Tools Needed

- Socket wrench

- Screwdriver

- Pry bar

- Tape

1. Remove the wheel. Use a lug wrench to loosen and remove the lug nuts on the driver side wheel. Then, use a jack to lift the vehicle and remove the wheel completely.

2. Remove the fender bolts. There are three bolts holding the fender in place.

- Two are located in the wheel well, near the top and bottom of the fender.

- One is located at the front of the fender, close to the headlight assembly.

3. Remove the plastic clips. Use a screwdriver to pry off the plastic clips that are holding the fender in place. These clips are located along the top and side edges of the fender.

4. Remove the fender liner. The fender liner is the plastic sheet that lines the inside of the fender. It is held in place by a few plastic clips. Use a screwdriver to pry off these clips and remove the fender liner.

5. Gently pull the fender away from the car. Once all the bolts, clips, and screws have been removed, gently pull the fender away from the car. There may be some resistance, as the fender is still held in place by the adhesive.

6. Clean the area where the fender was mounted. Use a wire brush to remove any dirt, debris, or adhesive from the area where the fender was mounted. This will help to ensure that the new fender will fit properly.

7. Install the new fender. Position the new fender in place and insert the bolts. Hand-tighten the bolts until they are snug. Check the fit and alignment of the fender, making sure that it is flush with the rest of the body. Tighten the bolts snugly.

8. Replace the fender liner, then the wheel, and finally, lower the jack.
