1. Locate the hood release lever:
- Inside your car, find the hood release lever. It's usually located under the dashboard, on the driver's side.
2. Pull the hood release lever:
- Once you've found the hood release lever, pull it towards you.
3. Go to the front of the car and lift the hood:
- Walk to the front of your car and lift the hood. There may be a secondary latch that you need to release to fully raise the hood.
Additional points to keep in mind:
- Always make sure that your car is parked in a safe location and that the parking brake is engaged before attempting to open the hood.
- If you're unable to open the hood using the hood release lever, refer to your car's owner's manual for alternative instructions.
