1. Gather the necessary tools and materials.
- New muffler with A and B on the ends
- Socket set
- Wrench set

2. Prepare the vehicle.
- Park the van on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
- Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down completely.
- Engage the emergency brake.
- Raise the front of the vehicle with the jack and secure it with the jack stands.
- Remove the spare tire, if it is in the way.
3. Remove the old muffler.
