How do you put transmission oil in a 1992 Chevy Cavalier?

To put transmission oil in a 1992 Chevy Cavalier, you will need:

A quart of Dexron III automatic transmission fluid (ATF)

- A funnel

-A rag

Steps:

1. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down

2. Open the hood

3.Locate the transmission fluid dipstick. Usually a red handle

4. Pull out the dipstick and wipe it clean with a rag

5. Reinsert the dipstick and check the fluid level. Fluid should be between the Full and Add marks on the dipstick

6. Locate the transmission fluid filler tube near the dipstick

7. Insert the funnel into the filler tube

8. Pour in enough ATF to bring the fluid level up to the Full mark on the dipstick

9. Remove the funnel

10. Reinsert the dipstick

11. Close the hood

12. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Shift through all the gears and then check the fluid level again. It should still be between the Full and Add marks on the dipstick
